Christie Administration Announces Final Report of School Security Task Force

On July 9, 2015, the Governor released the School Security Task Force Report. This was a legislatively created task force in which the members were tasked with very specific topics to address and then charged with preparing a report to be presented to the Governor and our State Legislature.

NJASRO is proud to report that our Executive Director Lieutenant Patrick Kissane and Advisory Board Member Chief Kevin Craig had been appointed by the Governor to this important Task Force and we thank them and their fellow Task Force members for their service to the State of New Jersey and their commitment to the safety and security of our school children.

Some of the recommendations made will require changes to current laws and/or regulations. Please take a look at the report. Hopefully, in the near future, our elected leaders will embrace the recommendations and take the necessary steps to enact them. When that time comes, NJASRO will be asking all their friends, family and colleagues to contact your local and state representatives in support of them.
